We use only essential cookies required for the app to work. We do not use any advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. This app is designed for children and follows the ICO Age Appropriate Design Code.

1. What are cookies?

We use only strictly necessary cookies and storage. These cannot be disabled as the app will not function without them.

3. Cookies we do NOT use

We want to be clear about what we do not do:

No advertising cookies — we do not show ads or track you for advertising
No analytics cookies — we do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics service
No tracking cookies — we do not track your browsing across other websites
No social media cookies — we do not embed social media trackers
No third-party cookies — no external company places cookies through our app

4. Children and cookies

As this app is designed for children aged 8–11, we follow the ICO's Age Appropriate Design Code regarding cookies and similar technologies:

We use only the minimum storage necessary for the app to function
No data collected through cookies is shared with third parties
No profiling or behavioural tracking is performed
Guest mode data stays entirely on the user's device and is never sent to our servers

5. Managing cookies

Since we only use essential cookies, there is no cookie banner or consent popup — these cookies are required for the app to work and are exempt from consent requirements under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

You can clear cookies and localStorage through your browser settings. Note that doing so will:

Sign you out of your account
Delete any guest mode progress stored on your device
Reset your app preferences

6. Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce non-essential cookies (which we have no plans to do), we will update this policy, add a consent mechanism, and notify you before any such cookies are placed.
